Last night marked the first win of my ever favorite Alaska Aces in this conference. They've been missing the services of their fiery point guard, Mike Cortez due to injury. A more composed Alaska team showed up and played last night against the hot Shell Turbo Chargers in Araneta Coliseum. Incidentally, Shell never lost its games in Araneta Coliseum since May 2003 until last night and ironically, the last team who beat 'em in Araneta is none other than the Alaska Aces, two years back then. And Alaska did it again last night, stopping Shell's Araneta's conquest and probably showing what they have and saying to everyone that Alaska is still a team to beat!
Everyone's expecting Cortez's comeback on their game in Cagayan de Oro City against the unbeaten Talk and Text Phonepals. Expect Cortez to dish out a bigger game as he is going under odservation by many critics and analysts as part of the RP pool of 21. Way to go for the Cool Cat and the Alaska Aces.
